McDermott conducts seminar on "Presentation Skills" for Pfizer's Animal Health Veterinary Interns in March 2009

Sharon Campbell, Specialty Hospital Liaison for Pfizer Inc. invited Lynda McDermott to conduct a brief seminar on "Presentation Skills" to a group of Veterinary Interns sponsored by Pfizer Animal Health.

McDermott emphasized the importance of:

• • Planning a presentation by asking the question: What do I want my audience to know or be able to do as a result of my presentation?
• • Telling stories that make a teaching point
• • Using statistics and examples
• • Encouraged participants to think about how to apply knowledge
• • Use direct eye contact to establish a relationship with you audience
